YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

so while researching for my zombie hunter con costume i fell in love with post apocalyptic cosplay. everything from fallout props to original works. it's just such a cool look and you can do anything with it. it requires little money if you know how to scavenge and helps prepare all of us for what it's gonna be like after they rise. i felt wickedzombies was a good place to bring this to help expand the site. so with all that in mind I'm going to be posting cool stuff i make and design here. and if you catch the bug or maybe if you already have it then i welcome you to post your stuff here too.

dont use a sheet under 13 thread count. anything under 13 is to weak for what you want and will rip easy. the best i can tell you is to go to say like Walmart or a dollar store. you can usually pick up a 13 thread count white sheet set for around $10 bucks. then go to where they sell fabric dyes and get some black dye. you will be able to make the black robe and hood you see there real easy from those things.   ;-)

i think thats actually white, dirty white but white. which is what i want. once i get the robe made i'll weather with some tea baths and some other tricks i picked up. what i really need is how I'm suppose to tailor it into a robe.

I've seen some robes online that can be ordered for around $20.00...Either that or use a snuggie, it's nothing more then a robe that is turned backwards anyways and as for the length of it, wear it everywhere and it will fray and tatter the bottom for a good ole worn out robe....

really cause i never found anything that cheep, at least in my size. and the snuggie might work but they don't come in white. and I'm afraid it will look more like a bath robe then a nomad wandering the desert robe. think the sand people from star wars.

Tusken Raiders, not tusken raiders below

okay so i think i found a way to do this;

it requires two parts not counting the hood. the first will be a modified tabard that will make up the body of the robe. for those of you unfamiliar with the tabard its this.

  https://www.displaycostume.com/store/images/P/321209.jpg

a medieval garment its really nothing more then a rectangular piece of cloth with a head hole in the middle.

where the modification comes in is where the sides are normally lefts open i will sew them up leaving nothing but arm holes. i will also cut down the center of the front so it can be put on like a sleeveless trench coat. to complete the look i will be matching it with a very torn up and ragged shoulder cape. a shoulder cape being this.

the shoulder cape is easy you basically take the same  as pattern as a normal circle cape and just make it smaller.

then just add the hood made from a pillow case and it's done. the only problem with this design is I'll have to go out and buy fabric. i can't use a bed sheet like a planned cause the tabard calls for material twice my height and no sheet is made that big. but there's a fabric store with in walking distance of my house. it will also give me the chance to pick out the perfect material.

all and all I'd say this is the easiest way to go about making this and it seams like something that could actually be made in the post apocalyptic wastelands. very little work and everything can be hand sewn. i looked at other ways to make robes and they all require lots of sewing and patterns. basically  a lot of work that could only realistically be done in any sort of timely fashion with a sewing machine sure they would be more tailored and fit better. but making do with what you got is the corner stone of post apocalyptia.

not a bad plan there.

i thought so

okay so i redesigned my blood saints logo, and it is much cooler now. but i need help deciding between white and black for the logo.

I like the Black...It pops more then the white does...Looking at your new design, I really like the black...Now if you want to add the white into the design, I think using it as a highlight to the bladed tips would work really good...Would really pop I think....

i like the black better too, i could try the highlights but its already highlighted with that red all around it. should i go with the red ascents or just do black like this.

I'd like to keep the red in the middle only reason its not in this pic is cause this is the stencil. which i would have to use two if i use the red.

you know i tried just the black with the red center and i think it's my favorite!

i also finally fixed that pixalated tip thats been bugging me since i first made it.

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
