YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Idea for a story but not sure i should continue writting it any thoughts?

The story beginning is below please read if you have time and give any feed back, thank you for your time.

Chester walked away from his truck, and headed into the flea market. He spent every Saturday afternoon here; looking at nic-nacs, buying random things, eatting lunch. After all wasn't the old addage "One man's junk is another man's teasure" and that was really why he was here. He searched through countless bens, sellers tables, and dealer shops, he just wanted to find something. He just didn't know what that something was.

Heading off to the back of the center lot, Chester found four new venders setting up their area the four men were talking amongst themselves and didn't notice him at first until he cleared his throat. "You aren't ready for customers yet are ya?" The older of the men coughed and put his cigarette down in an ashtray overflowing with butts. "Oh sure thing come on in and look around, we just like to look busy as we talk" his voice was dry and cracking it was obvious he had smoked most of his life. The old man was dress in a simple western style shirt with snap buttons untucked hanging over faded jeans which covered cowboy boots that looked as old and worn as the wearer.

The tables were full of so many items that Chester knew most of his time today would be spent here looking. Picking up a WWII gas mask the larger of the men called out "Now that there is a great find young man" his burley voice carried heavy in the air, just a single word fom him boomed. "That's an actual Gas Mask used during a Chlorine gas attack on the Allied troops". Chester held the mask in his hands and listened as the man walked over telling him the details of the mask. He walked with a small limp in his left leg and wore a knee brace over a rattie pair of denim shorts, his black shirt was stained with mustard that covered up the almost gone and lost "Black Sabbath" band stenicl.

Placing the mask on the counter chester looked over at the third and fourth of the group who sat by the register. "Is it okay if I leave this up here and continue looking around?" The third tipped his black cowboy hat and nodded giving his approval, he was covered from head to toe in black leather and looked as if he had just walked off the set of some John Wayne western and he was playing the head villian of the movie. The fourth folded his newspaper down only showing his eyes hidden by dark green sun-glasses "no probelm we'll hold it for you" just a quickly as he answered he went back to reading.

Looking at the glass cases that ran along the north and back wall of thier area Chester took his time examing each of the oddities they had. The typical flea market things were littered in each case knives, lighters, collectiable trading cards and of course the occasional pipe. Reaching the back cases is when it got interesting for him, there he found that the items took a more "aggressive" tone.

What was the items?
You have to write more!
The first case was full of overbearing survivalist gear; gas maskes that were army issued, M.R.E's with labels asking you to ask about the price for a full box, hand held G.P.S.'s, trainning manuels, it just went on and on. Chester had seen places like this before, normally accompanied by a disgruntled or former soldier or a retiree, but not one of the four men here seemed that way.

The second case made him pause, his eyes must be deceiving him; land mines, claymores, military issued sidearms and body armor, scopes, rifles. Turning his head up, he noticed that the four men there were not even paying attention to him, they were lost in their current discussion. It was something about that the news was playing, chester passed it off and walked back towards the middle of the little shopping area. He grabbed a double sided knife that had caught his eye and a cigarette case that looked and felt like rock. He walked over to where the men were sitting and laid those up next to the mask he had picked out earlier.

"You sure that's all you want young man?" the oldest of the group asked as he started wrapping the items up in yesterdays newspaper. "You didn't make to the last case back there, we might have something you'd like"
Yes continue! Feels like walking into a creepy TX flea market, love it.
the four of them stared Chester intently, he could feel their eyes piercing into his flesh he was more then sure they were trying to measure him up for some reason. "Well, if you think there's something I might like i'll go take a peak" Chesters voice was dry, cool and mono-tone. His simple statment took all of his self control to mask that yes they had freaked him out. spreading apart the 60's style hanging beads he walked over to the last case.

His jaw dropped, the case was lined with guns, hand guns, rilfe, fully automatics, then damn thing was designed for world war three. Looking at the pistols chester didnt hear the man who's face he hadn't seen fully yet enter the room. "That's a SIG Sauer P228 it's a 9mm load" chester cut him off "its also a fed's gun...I'll take it"

He turned to ask the fourth man "Hey do you have an exten..........."

Chester never saw the blackjack that cracked over his skull, never saw the other three men rush into the room to catch him no all he saw was complete darkness as he fell backwards. "I told you all we would find him here, now we can begin"
do go on...i hate cliff hangers!

Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good.
