How long do you squat?

   Give the fact that I'm pretty set in make shifting the windows and the door to my apartment secure and outer door to the apartment building secure, I'm thinking I might be in a pretty good spot when it comes to bedding down where I'm at...

   This town might have at least an hour or two before the infection hits, and I've timed myself placing the window covers and barricading my door...As for the outer door to the main hallway, I'll have to wait till the place clears out..Which won't take long...(LOL) But once cleared out, I'll have damn near 8 apartments to scrounge food and other supplies...

   Plus we're sitting on the border of the edge of town, so while those inside the main artery of the town are being eaten and killing each other, we'll be safe for awhile...Plus two, I have a back up place to bug out too that has a one way road to it and it over looks the edge of a cliff and also has well water and backup generators...The only thing I haven't been able to plan out is covering the damn windows...But there's a few large old time fishing boats in there, which should cover the main windows out front....

   But I think we will be good once the biters, walkers, stenches begin moving out to greener pastures.....(ROFLMAO)

if need be. i can bug in for a while. like Jessie, i got the whole door and window thing covered. i got the food covered. backup generator so the well pump will still work so to have water and have a few lights to. if i push it, maybe the fridge to. but the rest of the stuff like the radio is hand crank and solar powered. the gmrs radios can be charged off solar power. even my tablet can be charged off solar chargers. but if the need to bug out should arise. then i got a couple of places in mind that i scouted. one of which i mentioned was the old Ohio Penitentiary in the capitol city of Columbus. the next best thing is Piatt Castles here in Ohio. they both to my surprise when i took the tour of them had a room strictly for old rifles. and with further and close examination ACTIVE rifles. the actions and firing pins are still intact. on all 80 of them and the same caliber on top of that. so if i went there. i stocked up on some ammo for them. the lower level is easy to defend and barricade along with the heavy doors. it has food preparation areas as well as individual sleeping areas that can house many there. probably way better then the prison because all the stuff still works. but each thing has its advantages and disadvantages to it. my main eye for the prize is the old prison though. the other a fall back point.
