Cub Scouts

The Bears of Cub Scout Pack 72 of Camden, TN have started their Scouts for Tots, Scouts and Mother Earth and Scouting for Food Drive programs. If anyone would like to help in donations of food, Toys, aluminum cans and tin cans, Please call or text Den Leader Jessie @ 731-415-9773  

   The Scouts for Tots is a program in which the Bears show and use common knowledge in managing and usage of money. Plus they learn that helping others can make them feel good. They will be collecting toys and any donations presented to to be donated to the U.S. Marine's Toys for tot's program. This will not only show the boys they can make a difference at their age, but also showing them what giving and the true meaning of Christmas is...It's not about the toys and the food and who got the better gifts, but the smile on child's face.

The Bears of Pack 72 have also started collecting canned food items for their Scouting for Food project. Their goal is to reach 200 lbs of non-parishable food. Though this doesn't sound like much, but this will help our local food pantries supply a much needed meal for those less fortunate then we are. The Bears are excited about this program. They feel that it's their job to help stomp out hunger not only in our local area but also around the United States.

   Their last drive is Scouts for Recycling. This is where the boys will learn that when you recycle you not only keep America beautiful but you also help make new things. All tin cans must be cleaned and labels removed. Aluminum cans can be crushed. 

 We are calling upon the community to help the Bears reach their goal of 200 lbs of food, $300 dollars in Toy donations and 300 lbs of recyclable cans.

   This will allow the boys in our local scouting program a chance to learn not only how they can help others, but also learn that helping others can make them feel special.
