Wicked Zombies

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE...MAYBE TWICE!

Tired? Spent? Feel like a zombie after a crap day of work?

We feel you. After working yourself to death – sometimes it’s nice to come home and relax with your favorite beverage.

Especially if that drink happens to be made with vodka. And brains.

We stumbled across this recipe for zombie brain shots over at i’m not a monster – the blog of otep shamaya and just couldn’t help but share. A little vodka, a little lime juice, and a little Bailey’s Irish Cream and you have yourself one bloody good shooter.

1 1/4 oz. strawberry vodka such as Stoli
1/8 oz. Rose’s lime juice
3/4 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
Splash of grenadine

Mixing acidic lime juice and Irish cream causes the cream to curdle, creating brain-like strands in the shot. The grenadine creates the blood strands.

Mix the vodka and lime juice and pour into the shot glasses. Then using a straw, submerge the straw into the Bailey’s, seal with your thumbs and then dip into the vodka. Slowly lift your thumb and create Bailey’s brain strands. Continue the process until you build what resembles a brain. Finish with the grenadine for a bloody fresh look.

Follow the link for more in depth instructions – and if you try it, keep in mind we’d love to take some shots too – er… see some shots too.

Make your Halloween party the best ever with this "zombie" drink sure to keep the living dead coming back for more!

This zombie-style drink is complete with brains, but more importantly, it packs a wallop with three different kinds of rum (!!!) and apricot brandy. This mixed punch also has orange, pineapple and lime juice. Don't forget to make your citrus ice the night before, either in brain molds or a nice big block. Party on!

INGREDIENTS:

Ice Cubes - prepare the night before your party

* 1½ cups orange juice
* 1½ cups pineapple juice

Zombie Punch

* 1½ cups light rum
* 1½ cups dark rum
* 1½ cups high-proof rum
* 1½ cups apricot brandy
* ¼ cup lime juice
* 1½ cups orange juice
* 1½ cups pineapple juice
* ¼ cup grenadine

Garnish Options

* maraschino cherries
* sliced oranges
* pineapple rings

HOW-TO:

Ice Cubes - prepare the night before your party

1. Mix 1½ cups orange juice and 1½ cups pineapple juice and pour into ice cube trays or into a large pan for a block of ice
2. Freeze overnight

Make Zombie Punch

1. In a pitcher or punch bowl, stir together the three rums, apricot brandy, lime juice, 1½ cups orange juice, 1½ cups pineapple juice, and grenadine
2. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving
3. When ready to serve, add frozen juice ice cubes to pitcher or punch bowl. (As the party wears on, the frozen juice cubes will slowly melt and dilute the potent cocktail)
4. Garnish with maraschino cherries, sliced orange rings, or thinly-cut pineapple rings

How about a Flaming Zombie?

Been Awhile, BUt I'm still Alive

Greetings Everyone,    Well it's been awhile. As things go, life carries us all in different directions from time to time but you always find your way home sooner or later. Well, life ain't all fun and games, but right now, things are going good. I have restarted my writing on my book again, and as I learn more about about some of the ROle-playing games I have gotten into, I am seriously thinking about rying to create an actual Zombie Survival Role-playing game. But have not set any time…
