5 Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen

i dont care much for CRACKED. but here is my 5 reasons that it could happen.

1. RADIATION - because man is constantly sending satellites, rockets, and unmanned probes into space and coming back exposed to god only knows what before they crash blindly back to earth.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL - companies are constantly dumping toxic waste into the ground and water ways. what mix of this junk will finally kill us and then bring us back? we have chemical, nuclear and biological waste in our ground we grow things in. in the waters we drink from and even our oceans and seas. its even in the air we breath from toxic fumes from spray cans to gasoline fumes. to the huge smoke stacks that come from nuclear power plants.
3. VIRAL - the CDC has been storing all kinds of nasty viral cocktails from simple flu virus to small pox and anthrax. then there are jokers that get government grants to take a virus of some kind to "see how bad that bad can get" and then develop a "cure" for the finished product. then there are the government labs that weaponize viral strains to unleash on the populaces of a nation that was unlucky enough to disagree with them.
4. MECHANICAL - anyone who has seen STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION or its off shoots VOYAGER or DEEP SPACE 9 knows the BORG. they are a race of people who merged their bodies with machines and maintain themselves with NANOBOTS. a microscopic machine on the cellular level programed to repair damage to the body and if programed right. control and subdue the brain and control an individual to the point of having no freedom of thought or individuality. THE ULTIMATE ZOMBIE. they are fully aware of what they do but are totally powerless to stop their actions.
5. A MIXTURE OF REASONS ONE, TWO, AND THREE not so much FOUR.

that falls under number 3 in my list. the guy that gets a grant to do viral research or the government weaponizing a virus.

l have to diagree with the theory of radiation, l know it was more or less the cause in many of Romero films, but l just dont see that as a likely cause, radiation would merely kill us, l fail to see how it could alter our brain state and caue people to portray zombie symptons

Komrad Wayne. cosmic radiation can do all kinds of things when the levels are such. and there are levels of radiation that can alter what we know without killing us. even alter body chemistry without killing. in Japan where the first nuclear bombs were dropped. they Japanese government has been studying the survivors of the bomb. even the ones that were the farthest out had some alteration in their DNA. not to the X-MEN kind of state. but to where they had children with massive birth defects but the parents appeared normal to the naked eye. so i wouldnt rule out any kind of radiation form. i even entertain the chemotherapy theory that Preacher has.
